I'm Paul and I run this site in conjunction with the events I organise, commentate on or assist with. I have been involved with triathlon for 15yrs since discovering the triathlon bug.

As a competitor I have taken part in most of the events locally as well as a number of Olympic distance events, Bournemouth, Windsor etc. I was driven to event organising back in 1985 and, together with a close friend developing race timing, put on the first Uckfield Aquathlon. The following year the first Uckfield Triathlon. Later in 2000 the Crowborough, Heathfield & Hailsham Triathlons as well as the Hedgehogtri first Ardingly Triathlon held at Ardingly College, which up until this year had still continued with Urban Race and with me as Swim Director.
   In 2001 I started adding a children's element to the senior triathlon's and in 2005, together with Freedom Leisure,  I held the first stand alone Uckfield Children's Triathlon. This grew over the following years and attracted over 100 competitors.
   In 2007 The event moved to Ringmer where it is still held in August. In addition to the Ringmer event in 2010 there is a Lewes Children's event in June, Children's Aquathlon at Seaford in September & an Aquathlon in Ringmer in October.

This year I will also be at other events either assisting as Race/Swim director or working on commentary.
