Conditions of Entry

Wave Leisure Children's Triathlon Series 2010

Events are held under the British Triathlon race rules & child protection policy , please visit the website for details. www.britishtriathlon.org

The issued race number must be worn on the front of the cycling/running top, unaltered in anyway and secure by four pins one in each corner.

All competitors, parents/ guardians are required to confirm they have read and understood the conditions of entry into one of the Wave Leisure Triathlon Series. Failure to do so will mean the entry maybe declined.

All competitors are required to ensure they are physically fit to take part at the level entered.

All parent/guardians/competitors must ensure a road worthy bicycle is used. That all parts of the cycle are in good working order e.g. brakes

An undamaged cycle helmet must be worn whilst the cycle is in use, before, during & after the event and whilst on the college campus.

All clothing worn for the event must be proper & suitable. Training shoes must be worn for ALL of the course outside of the swim.

Parent/guardian/family spectators are only allowed in designated areas ONLY. Persons found on the course will result in their child having time added to finishing times & possible disqualification.

Refund policy: Full refund up until one month prior to the event (30days), 50% refundable 14-8 days before the event, 7 days prior to the event no refund.

ALL competitors are required to attend the briefing prior to the event start at events entered.

Race instruction are only available on the website/ confirmation of entry via website pages. Contact the race organiser if entered and details NOT shown on the website after 5 days of entry and fee sent.

Race entries are only transferable to another competitor before 7 days prior to the event.

Trophies on in the 'Tristar' categories only. Tri-a-Try events have participation medals.

Results - with 'best efforts' of the organiser/timekeeper will be published to the website. Final results (5 days) will stand.

Lost or damage to property is at the owners own risk during the event

Cycles can only be taken out of transition area with permission of transition marshal. Evidence of the race number must be shown.

Pets brought along to the events must be kept under control and must NOT be allowed on the course or the swimming pool.

Wave Leisure staff will be taking photographs and video for use as promotional material for future events and posting on the Wave Leisure website.

Wave Leisure, sponsors, staff, volunteers cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury cased whilst taking part or being a spectator at one of the triathlon series.
