Ardingly Children's Aquathlon

Event is registered with British Triathlon and will be run under the event rules and protections.
The event for ages 8-14yrs and is open to all. This a FUN event.
The swimming will be taking place in the Ardingly College pooll (25m x 4) with the run on a section of the triathlon run course

The event will run under sanction from 'Triathlon England' and will be in line with race rules and codes of practice. A race referee, first aid and marshal will be present to ensure the races run smoothly. Entries will close Midday Friday1st June , there will be NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY.

Please note there is no smoking allowed on campus.

Registration will be in the college building, goodie bag & medal for all conmpetitors. Briefing next to the finsih area and then poolside. Swim start will be after the main adult triathlon swims have been completed.
Children will swim two to a lane in waves of 8, transition area outside the pool for shoes etc. The run starts with a steep climb up to the front of the college and then joins the run course. Start of each lap pick up a band to help count laps. On completion of the course into the large marked finish area.
Prizes and medals will be presented at the end of the event, a great opertunity to get some pictures.
Children's Run course - HERE
REGISTRATION - Opens from 9am, Collect goodie bag, race number, coloured wrist band, get body marked and show your BTF licence to get the £1 refund.
RACE BRIEFING - 10.15am next to the finish, then down to outside the pool
SWIM STARTING - All races in waves, max 2 to a lane, marshals help count the swimming lengths.
TRANSITION - Outside the pool hall, no parent assistance allowed, shoes laces must be tired, t-shirts on and trace numbers shown to the front.
RUN SECTION - Up the hill and toward the 'Cycle' transition area. turn left on to the run course. Collect a band at the start of each run lap. When correct number of laps completed then into the finish.
PRIZES & MEDALS - These will be presented at the end of the event as soon as the last child has finished. Time for a photo opertunity.
RESULTS - Up on the website by 6pm on race day.
