Crowborough Children's Triathlon

Venue: Crowborough Leisure Centre, Eridge Road, TN6 2TN
Event is registered with British Triathlon and will be run under the event rules and protections.
The event for ages 8-14yrs is the first childen's event to be held at the Goldsmith Recreation ground and forms part of the 'Triathlon Weekend', with the adult sprint triathlon on the Sunday.
The swimming will be taking place in the Freedom Leisure pool (25m x 6) with the cycle and run sections based on/around the running track and park area.

Goodie bag and medal for each competitor, trophies for first three boy/girl in Tristars 1,2 &3 only.

*Novice Family Team event - This is for Novice competitors who might need a bit of help from a parent, brother or sister (16yrs+), uncle, aunt, grandparent etc. Details can be found HERE
The event will run under sanction from 'Triathlon England' and will be in line with race rules and codes of practice. A race referee, first aid and marshal will be present to ensure the races run smoothly. Entries will close Midday Friday 14th September , there will be NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY.
REGISTRATION - Opens from 9am, Collect goodie bag, race number, coloured wrist band, get body marked and show your BTF licence to get the £1 refund.
RACE BRIEFING - 10.15am next to the finish, then down to outside the pool
SWIM STARTING - 11.00am All races in waves, max 2 to a lane, marshals help count the swimming lengths.
TRANSITION - Outside the pool hall, no parent assistance allowed, Cycle helmets MUST be worn, Second transition point in the middle of the running track.
CYCLE SECTION - A lapping vourse around the sports field. Correct number of laps must be competed, Competitor/ parents must count, we will carry out or own check.
RUN SECTION - This is a lapping course, collect a band at the start of end lap to help you count.
PRIZES & MEDALS - These will be presented at the end of the event as soon as the last child has finished. Time for a photo opertunity.
RESULTS - Up on the website by 6pm on race day.
